In the early 1980’s, EVC emerged from another existing company "Safaga Travel" which at that time focused on classical tours, Nile cruises. desert and mountain safaris,.

"Safaga Travel" rebranded as  EVC, expanded in Sinai and the Red Sea Coast, handling and organizing charter flights, accommodation, transportation, excursions, ticketing and many more services from clients  all over the world.

EVC  considered then the hotelier business; rented one of the first hotels in Na’ama Bay in Sharm El Sheikh: "Kanabesh" as well as several others like "Bawaqi" -Nuweiba South Sinai.

EVC  started building and opening one of the first hotels to located outside Na’ama Bay: "Sharm Club Resort" in collaboration with Viaggi Del Ventaglio, a pioneer tourism operator in the Italian and European market .

By 1996, Sharm Club replaced its heating to 100% solar powered sources. Today All of EVC Resorts heating is 100% solar powered.
